Getting started

Register the first patient

A walkthrough of patient registration with DPDP consent capture.

Open the patient registration form

Click Patients in the sidebar, then + New patient. The form opens above the list.

Fill in the required fields

  1. Full name, as the patient wants it on records and prescriptions.
  2. Phone, Indian format with country code (e.g. +91 90000 00000).
  3. Gender, Male / Female / Other.
  4. Age, optional but recommended.

Capture DPDP consent

The consent checkbox is required by the DPDP Act 2023. Read the consent text aloud (or hand the patient a printout) before ticking it. If the patient is under 18, the guardian section appears automatically. Capture the guardian's name and relation.

Save

UHID is generated automatically (e.g. UHID-2026-00042). The patient now appears in the search and can be booked into an appointment or added to the live queue.
